hello guys! This post will be for those incoming Freshies at Seton (well this can be for other freshies narin, ohmy why so conyo). I’ll be enumerating 5 reminders/tips for you guys! I hope this will help you somehow in entering the best 4 years (or in your case, 6 years) in your life. :)
1. You don’t need to bring your books home EVERYDAY.
Unless you really want to study every night everyday, well say hello to a very bump-y backpack. And shoulder aches. :) I’m not saying that you shouldn’t study at home! It’s just that it’s better to write your own notes then review them at home. :) Don’t worry guys, you can keep your books in your compartment naman eh and keeping it there’s better than keeping it in your locker because you might use it the next day then you’d have to go to your locker pa to get those. Hassle much. And btw, just bring a pen and a notebook on your first day since it’s just the “Orientation Day”. :)
2. 8:30 am - 9:30 am will be the best time of your day IN YOUR CLASSROOM
If I remember it right, that hour is when your neighbors (houses beside your classroom) are cooking their breakfast. Masanay na kayong makaamoy ng tuyo, corned beef, Lucky Me noodles at magutom. One more fun thing about that is you and your classmates get to play that “Hulaan ang niluluto ng kapitbahay” game. =)) “Amoy tuyo” “Hindi! Amoy corned beef kaya!” “LUCKY ME YUNG NILULUTO” =)) Hahaha so fun
3. Learn to manage your time wisely.
I know you’re used to the “Go home - sleep - homework - sleep early” routine. Well, this is HS already. :) You go home at 5 and by that time, you have lots to do. You don’t have time to sleep anymore so you better do your homework earlier so you can sleep earlier too. DO NOT GET USED TO CRAMMING. You’ll regret it after ;) There will be times when you won’t have any work to do so I suggest you do some projects so that you won’t have any problems when it’s the day before submission. :)
4. I don’t know how to label this reminder hahaha
Okay, you’re in highschool already and be aware of some changes. :> ELA will be English, Hekasi will be AP. For girls, you don’t need that name patch on the upper right side of your blouse anymore. And this is the best part, YOU HAVE AN HOUR FOR LUNCH!!! Yey! Spend it wisely with your friends or use it for reviewing for a quiz or doing some missed homework. It will be fun! Your lunch time will be the most productive time in school. You get to eat legally, and bond with your friend who are not your classmates. :)
5. Respect is very very very important :)
Now you’re just the babies once again. Kung last year, kayo yung boss, kayo mga ate’t kuya, kayo yung pakikisamahan, this time, it’s different.Parang back to zero kayo. Basta ang importante, please respect the higher batches and your teachers. Dadating din ang point na sila ang kakailanganin niyo so don’t ever disrespect them. :)
I guess that’s it! I hope a lot will read this and I hope this will help in any way. :) Goodluck guys and I swear, this is the start of the best years of your life :)

I dedicate this blog post to my friend/batchmate, Carlo Flores.
He is now in coma and is suffering from internal hemorrhage. Please pray for him and his doctors that they may be instruments of God and that they will be able to fix the problem, and that he will heal quickly. Guys, please…
